Glasgow IV Hearings Conclude
Today marks the end of the oral evidence that the Inquiry will hear in relation to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow. Lord Brodie has heard 29 weeks of evidence in respect of this hospital, and has heard from 186 witnesses either in person or by statement.
The next step will be for Counsel to produce their closing statement by 21 November 2025. Core Participants will then have until 5pm on Friday 19 December 2025 to submit their closing statements.
The work of the Inquiry continues, with the production of the final report being underway and due for release in 2026.
The Inquiry will reconvene for an oral hearing to hear final closing statements in respect of the aspect of the inquiry that relates to the Glasgow hospital on 20 to 23 January 2026.
