Provisional Position Papers published
The Inquiry has published a number of Provisional Position Papers (PPPs) focused on the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People and the Department for Clinical Neurosciences, Edinburgh.
The papers were produced to assist the Chair in addressing the Terms of Reference. It outlines the Inquiry Team’s understanding of some of the key project process for the hospital such as procurement, associated guidance consulted and governance involved.
The Chair will be invited by the Inquiry Team to make findings in fact based on the content of these papers. Matters that need further clarification will be the subject of the hearing in April.

Further papers will be produced and developed throughout 2023. These will mainly tackle issues that can be examined outwith oral hearings. This will allow oral hearings to be focussed on issues that the Inquiry could not explore through evidentiary material submitted and witness statements taken.
