Inquiry Team

David Anderson joined the Inquiry in February 2020. He worked with the Chair on the terms of reference and has been responsible for setting up the infrastructure that supports the Inquiry.  A key part of his work has been to engage a team of skilled professionals to progress the work of the Inquiry.

David is a Chartered Engineer by training and is a past-President of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation. Working in both the private and public sector for over thirty years he has worked on some of the largest projects in Scotland. Previous successes have included the Strategic Transport Projects Review, Skye Bridge, Queensferry Crossing and the dualling of the A9. He has also led the team distributing European Structural Funds in Scotland through both the European Social and Regional Development Funds. He recently achieved accreditation for Freedom of Information and was closely involved in preparations for EU-Exit.
